Gay bars in Malaga center.
The epicenter of the gay movement is in the area of Plaza de la Merced, in the heart of Málaga, and Calle San Juan de Letrán, although the reference in the city is “La Comedia”, located on Calle Comedias.
El Carmen Bar.
It is one of the references for the LGTBI community in Malaga. It is a cozy place, with a spacious interior and a large terrace with views of the Plaza de la Merced.
They define themselves as “a bar for everyone in the center of Malaga” and it could not be a better motto.
Their extensive hours allow you to have breakfast, lunch, dinner or just have a drink and they also have performances by drag queens every week.

Lola´s copas.
It is a new gay bar in Malaga, which has joined the LGTBI offer in the capital. It’s small, but it has two floors with tables and a charming outdoor terrace where you can have a drink.

La calle de Bruselas.
Located in Plaza de la Merced, very close to those mentioned above, it is one of the most relevant bars for the LGTBI community in Malaga. Its interior decoration is colorful and, we would even say a little eclectic with numerous references to Europe, Andalusia or Malaga.

Kipfer & Lover.
One of the first gay-friendly bars in the center of Malaga. Its owner, José Kipfer, is one of the best art collectors in the city, and has turned his bar-restaurant into a reference space between the LGTBI community and Malaga’s gay bars. It also has a broad commitment to the local culture, so you will always see a lot of atmosphere on its terrace and outdoors.
It’s not just a bar or restaurant, but there are many events held at Kipfer & Lover such as a book club, catwalk, exhibitions, etc.

Gay clubs in Malaga Center.
La Comedia.
It is the only gay nightclub in downtown Malaga and therefore, perfect to combine with the previous ones, since its closing time is 7 am. However, the space is small, so don’t expect to find one of their big Torremolinos or Ibiza-style nightclubs.
The usual thing is to have to pay an entrance ticket (which includes a drink), but whose price varies, depending on demand and time, between €10 and €20.
